In the 1880 census for Butler Co., IA are listed a William and Sarah Bettinger with children John J., Susan E., Corsie M., Elmer E. and Lee Albert. I am looking for more information on the family and want to know if Sarah's maiden name is Forney as I believe may be the case. I'm looking for more information on Sarah Forney born abt 1846 in IN whose father is probably Christian H. Forney, mother Rebecca Prinse. Christian H. is the brother to my gg-grandmother.
