Elizabeth B. Feeney
Mrs. Elizabeth Bailey Feeney, 89, of Gaithersburg, died April 21, 2004, at
Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.
Born March 14, 1915, in Marble Rock, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late
Earl R. Bailey, born in Floyd County IA, resided in Chadbourn NC, died in Montgomery County MD, and Agatha Hagarty-Bailey, of Greene Iowa. She was the wife of the late John W. Feeney for 35
years.
Mrs. Feeney retired from her bookkeeping job at Mizell Lumber Co. in
Kensington. She volunteered at the Bethesda Nursing Home, and her hobbies
included reading and refinishing furniture.
Survivors include three children, Kathleen Cottrell of Olney, Michael Feeney,
and John Feeney and his wife, Sheila, of Gaithersburg; nine grandchildren; and
12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Feeney, a
daughter, Eileen Day, and a sister, Anne C. Bailey.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday at DeVol Funeral Home,
Gaithersburg. Burial followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by DeVol Funeral Home, Gaithersburg.
