Fritz Buchholz 1836-1922

Fritz Buchholz was born in Hannover, Germany, Dec. 21, 1836; came to America when 18 years of age and in 1860 he married Miss Mary Heine, the family moving from Guttenburg to the Peasant Valley settlement in 1870. In 1908, Mr. and Mrs. Buchholz moved to town, where he passed away, Sunday morning, October 8, 1922. Funeral services by Rev. Hardt, were held at the Pleasant Valley church, Tuesday with interment at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife and five of his ten children; Mrs. Henry Horsch, of Clarksville; W.F. Buchholz of Staples, Minn; Mrs. Carl Popke, Clarksville; Julius and Mrs. Will Wefel of Fremont township.
