Mrs. Jas. Pringle Dies Suddenly Yesterday
Has Heart Attack While Caring for Husband
Married More Than Sixty Three Years -- To Hold Funeral Friday Afternoon
Mrs. James Pringle died last evening at 6 o'clock, following an illness of only one hour. The fatal heart attack was brought on when a short time previous her husband had also suffered a heart spell. She had summoned her brother-in-law, George Pringle and a doctor, and after Mr. Pringle became better, she began breathing heavily and a few minutes after the doctor arrived, she died.
Nancy Williams was born Dec. 29, 1855, in Indiana, one of eleven children born to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Williams, and passed away at her home in Greene, Iowa, October 12, 1937, at the age of 81 years, nine months and thirteen days.
Came in Covered Wagon
In 1856 the Williams family came to Iowa in a covered wagon and settled on a farm in Butler county. Here they experienced the perplexities and hardships of pioneer life.
October 23, 1874, the deceased married James Pringle and to this union four children were born Elsie passing away in infancy. They resided on the farm until 24 years ago when they came to Greene to make their home. This was the only move the family made in the sixty three years of married live. Mrs. Pringle affiliated with the Christian church and had been a faithful supporter of that faith since.
