Mrs. Lovinna O. Whitney of Route 6, Box 261, died Monday afternoon in her home. Mrs. Whitney was born in Shell Rock, Iowa and was married there to William Whitney on October 24, 1891. They moved to Oklahoma in 1892 and came to Washington in 1910. In 1911 they came to Olympia (WA).

Surviving are her husband, William Whitney of Olympia; three daughters, Mrs. A.C. Modes, Mrs. Viola Fitchett, both of Olympia; Mrs. Roy P. Johnson of Kelso, Washington; four sons, Loren and Alfred Whitney of Seattle, Carl and Harold Whitney , of Olympia; one sister, Mrs. Rhoda Van Horn of Camargo, Oklahoma; there are twenty grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held this Thursday afternoon, starting at one-thirty o'clock, in Warnica's chapel. The Reverend E. R. Scratch will officiate. Burial will take place in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
