KILLED BY LIGHTNING
Sunday forenoon a very sad accident occurred at the Art Sheets home east of town, when Ralph Imus, 5 years old, of Clarksville, who with his mother was visiting in the Sheets home, was struck by lightning and instantly killed.
The little fellow was playing in the yard with the little son of Mr. Sheets, near the clothes line, when a flash of lightning from an almost clear sky struck a tree near the house and followed the clothes line to another tree and down to the ground, passing only a short distance over the boy's head. His playmate, only a few feet away was uninjured. The Sheets family and the child's mother were in the house and knew nothing of the tragedy until summoned by the other boy.
Mrs. Sheets and Mrs. Imus are sisters.
Funeral services were held at Clarksville Tuesday.
