Isaac H. (Ike) Sinkey, 82, of Shell Rock, died Monday afternoon, Feb. 17*, at the Bartles Home, Waverly, where he has been a resident for the last two years. *(1975)

He was born on June 9, 1892 in Jackson county, the son of Daniel and Sara Jane (Heath) Sinkey. He came to the Shell Rock area as a young man and learned the barbering trade from his brother. He served in the Armed Forces in France during World War I. On November 16, 1920 he was married in Cedar Falls to Ethel May Leavens. He barbered in the Shell Rock area until retiring in the early 1940's.

Mr. Sinkey was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ethel, on November 24, 1970 and by his brothers and sisters. He is survived by nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to the Boyd Building following the graveside services for fellowship with the family.
