JOSEPH BARNET CRAWFORD (1870-1947)

Died Saturday Night at Farm Home East of Allison Where He Had Lived 52 Years.
Funeral services were held in Allison Tuesday afternoon for Joseph Barnet Crawford, age 76, who died at his farm home east of Allison Saturday night. Services were in charge of the Rev. F. J. Clark, pastor of the Associated church, and burial was in the Allison cemetery. He had been ill since suffering a stroke some time ago.
Mr. Crawford was born in Monroe county, Ohio, January 14, 1870, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albin Crawford. At the age of four months he came with his parents to Iowa, and spent his entire life in Butler county. He lived 52 years on the farm on which he died.
Surviving him are three brothers, William of Sheffield, John of Allison, and Elmer of Clarksville, two sisters, Mrs. Maude Scott and Mrs. May Scott, both of Clarksville. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Delbert.
