Funeral services for Art Neal, Shell Rock farmer, will be held from the Hammel & Martin funeral home this afternoon, Thursday, at 2:00 o’clock. Mr. Neal, 76, a life-long resident of Butler county, died at his home near Shell Rock, Monday.
He was born Nov. 11, 1874, at Bristow, a son of Isaac and Bessie Neal, and married Maude C. Wilder, Aug. 26, 1903. They resided at Bristow, Allison and Aredale before moving to the farm near Shell Rock eight years ago.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Lloyd, Bristow and Ernest A., Shell Rock; one daughter, Mrs. Clayton Boylan, Bristow; nine grandchildren; one brother, Frank Neal, Allison; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie McMahon, Austin, Minn., and Mrs. Leo Clark, Marshalltown. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Interment rites will be held at Lynwood cemetery.
