Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Community church, for Mrs. Ada Klinetob, who passed away Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pearl West, in Clarksville. Burial was in Lynwood cemetery.
Mrs. Klinetob was born February 22, 1867, at Bristow, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Isaac Neal. She married Charles W. Klinetob February 22, 1888, and the couple lived on the Klinetob home farm, west of Clarksville, during their entire married life.
Following Mr. Klinetob’s death, January 8, 1930, Mrs. Klinetob moved to town. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary and was a Gold Star mother.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Pearl West, a brother Art Neal, of Shell Rock, a half brother, Frank Neal, of Allison, two half sisters, Mrs. A.J. McMahon of Austin, Minnestoa, and Mrs. Leo Clark of Marshalltown; two grandchildren, [Deborah Sue Klinetob, and Suzanne and Patricia Burgess] Waterloo,and three great grandchildren, Deborah Sue Klinetob, and Suzanne and Patricia Burgess.

Funeral Service Held Saturday for Mrs. Ada Klinetob
Ada Neal, daughter of Isaac and Bessie Boylan Neal, was born February 22, 1869, at Bristow, Iowa, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pearle West, on August 3, 1950 at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 11 days.
She was married to Charles William Klinetob on Feb. 22, 1888, at Clarksville. They established their home on the Klinetob farm west of Clarksville. To this union five children were born: Guy Newton, Ida Pearle, Charles Edward, Clayton William and Lyle Albert.Mr. Klinetob passed away on January 8, 1930, and Mrs. Klinetob remained on the farm until 1933 when she moved to Clarksville.
Preceding her in death were her son Lyle, who died April 7, 1911, Clayton who died in France during World War I, Edward who passed away Sept. 26, 1940, and Guy who passed away Feb. 17, 1948.
Surviving her death are a daughter; Mrs. Pearle West, of Clarksville with whom she made her home the past few years; two grandchildren, Mrs. Howard Burgess of Waterloo and Harry Klinetob of Clarksville; one brother, Art Neal of Shell Rock; two half-sisters, Mrs. A.M.McMahon of Austin, Minn. And Mrs. Leo Clark of Marshalltown; and one half-brother, Frank Neal of Allison.
Mrs. Klinetob was a loving and conscientious mother, rearing not only her own children but also her son Edward’s children, Harry and Lois. She gave Lois tender care through the long months of illness preceding Lois’ death on Feb. 27, 1943.
Her quick smile and sunny disposition will long be remembered by her many neighbors and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 at the West home and 2 o’clock at the Community Church with Rev. Belden Weikel officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Lynwood cemetery.
