STUNTZ, MONTGOMERY, NEWCOMER, MCCAMPBELL, BACKER, BEDELL, JOHNSON, HOLZSCHUH

Clyde H. Stuntz, 91, of Greene, died Monday, Jan. 17, at Via Christe, Omaha, Neb.

He was born July 11, 1919, in Greene, son of Harold and Margaret Montgomery Stuntz. He married Esther Fern Newcomer on Dec. 20, 1942, in Iowa City. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Stuntz graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in dairy industry. He managed the Greene Cooperative Creamery until he started raising turkeys on the family farm south of Greene, a business he continued for more than 50 years.

Survived by: two daughters, Martha (Hugh) McCampbell of Sweetwater, Tenn., and Linda (Mark) Backer of Arcadia, Wis.; two sons, Wendell (Lyn) of Council Bluffs and Richard (Kathy) of Lawrence, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Edgar "Ted" Bedell of New Richmond, Wis.

Preceded in death by: a brother, James; three sisters, Helen Johnson, Anna Holzschuh and Laura Jane Bedell; and sister-in-law, Irene Stuntz.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Greene.

Friends may call at the celebration of life from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the American Legion Clubhouse, Greene, or at the church one hour before services.

Reids' Funeral Chapel, Greene, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the church.
