Leslie “Les” A. Palmer, 58, of Bristow, Iowa, passed away November 1, 2010, at his home in Bristow.

He was born December 18, 1951, in Alton, Illinois, to Leslie A. Palmer, Sr.

Les attended schools in Ohio. He was married to Cheryl Aissen on January 19, 1991, in Allison. Les served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Palmer Store in Dumont. Les volunteered for the Bristow and Dumont Fire Department. He was affiliated with the St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Les enjoyed fishing, hunting, flowers and tinkering with things.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl Palmer of Bristow, daughter Leslie Palmer of Bristow and son Dennis Palmer of Bristow.

Les was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation Details: Service Details 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday November 3, 2010 Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home 902 West Broadway St. Dumont, Iowa 50625.

Service Details: 10:30 AM Thursday November 4, 2010 St. James Lutheran Church 421 N Main St.
Allison, Iowa 50602.

Burial will take place in the Oak Hill Cemetery in rural Dumont.
