CLARKSVILLE - Randy Lee Johnson, 29, of Clarksville, died Thursday, Aug. 19, in Waverly from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born June 2, 1981, in Waterloo, son of Mike and Karen Gaffney Johnson. He married Laure Ertz Oct. 7, 2005, at the Rotary Reserve in Cedar Falls.

He attended Waterloo East High School. He worked for Feldmeier Equipment in Shell Rock and GMT Corp. in Waverly as a welder. He was sergeant at arms for the Guardians of the Children Motorcycle Organization.

Survived by: his wife; his parents of Dewar; a sister, Robin Johnson of Waterloo; a brother, Ryan Johnson of Jacksonville, N.C.; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Duvall of Tama; his mother and father-in-law, Walter and Sherry Ertz of Cedar Falls; a sister-in-law, Kristy (Kyle) Plucker; and three nephews.

Preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Linda Gaffney; and his paternal grandfather, Thomas Johnson.

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Friday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly. Fellowship 5 p.m. at Dewar Community Hall.
