Mary Irene Wood, 74, of Clarksville, died Thursday, Aug. 5, in the emergency room at Waverly Health Care Center, Waverly.

She was born Sept. 5, 1935, in Waverly, daughter of Casper and Margaret Betsinger Zwanziger. She married James Wood on Oct. 20, 1955, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.

Ms. Wood graduated from Plainfield High School in 1953, then was employed at Lutheran Mutual for a couple of years. In 1974 she started working in the kitchen at Waverly Sales Co., and later did the bookkeeping until 1984. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and the Horton Cemetery Society.

Survived by: three sons, Mark (Annette) of Nashua, Eric (Lucy) of West Concord, Minn., and Donald (Julie Nordman) of Laurel, Md.; 11 grandchildren, Melinda, Nicole, Dylan, Christina, Nathaniel, Ryan, Kathleen, Edward, Heather, Robbyn and Travis; and seven great-grandchildren, Vincent, Isabella, Taina, Cody, Tristane, Braeden and Kayla.

Preceded in death by: a son, Kenneth, on June 11, 1995.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Clarksville, with burial in Horton Cemetery, Horton.

Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Mary enjoyed her flower garden, watching golf (Tiger Woods), her computer, music, bus trip tours and, most especially, spending time with her family and friends.
