SHELL ROCK — Allen Schwab, 56, of rural Shell Rock, died Monday, Aug. 2, at home.

He was born March 28, 1954, in Charles City, son of Adam and Dorothy Miller Schwab. He married Dorothy DeGroote July 22, 1978, at United Methodist Church, New Hartford.

Mr. Schwab graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School in 1972. He worked with his father on the family farm until 1975, when he took over the farm, where he raised hogs and cattle.

Survived by: his wife; a daughter, Katie (Kyle) Rosendahl of Waverly; two sons, Matt and Tanner, both of rural Shell Rock; a granddaughter, Cayla Rosendahl; a sister, Gloria (Jim) DeGroote of rural Shell Rock; a brother, Larry (Alice) of Allison; and his nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Richard and Darrell; and a nephew, Brian Schwab.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church, Shell Rock, with burial in West Point Cemetery, rural Janesville.

Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Allen was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and trapping. He was fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and NASCAR.
