Keith M. "Clem" Knoedler, age 70, of Shell Rock, died Thursday, August 14th, 2008 at the Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

Keith was born on November 28, 1937 in Clarion, Iowa the son of Elmer and Velda Hill Knoedler.

He attended school in Clarion, Britt, and later graduated from the West Central High School of Maynard in 1955. After graduating, Keith went to work for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for the next 20 years. Keith was united in marriage to Nancy Lee, they would later divorce. On June 12, 1969, Keith was united in marriage to Dorothy Rodenbeck in Stockton, Illinois. In 1976 Keith bought the Shell Rock Lumber Yard and ran Knoedler Lumber and Drywall for several years. Keith sold the lumber yard and started Knoedler Construction where he worked until he passed away.

Keith was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, New Hartford Odd Fellows Lodge, and the Clarksville Rebekah Lodge.

Keith's enjoyments included fishing, singing, traveling, woodworking, and visiting his children and grandchildren where a brief stay often turned into a renovated home.

Keith's memory is honored by his wife Dorothy of Shell Rock, his children, Anthony (Sue) Knoedler of Caldwell, Idaho, Andrew Knoedler of Anchorage, Alaska, Pam (Dan) Ward of Eugene, Oregon, Todd Knoedler of Portland, Oregon, Peggy (Steven) Festa of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, and Cyndee (Robert) Zuck of Tripoli, two sisters, Beth Gates of West Des Moines and Lurretta (Roger) Daugherty of Boonville, Indiana, one sister in law, Sue (Bill) Leafgren of Greeley, Colorado nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Laurel and John Knoedler, a sister-in-law, Louetta Knoedler and a brother-in-law, Freeman Gates.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 18 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Shell Rock with Pastor Edgar Zelle officiating.

Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Shell Rock.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17 at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Shell Rock where friends can visit from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm with an Odd Fellows service at 4:00 pm.

A memorial has been established in his name.
