Ruby Ruth Huisman, 94, formerly of the Shell Rock and Clarksville area, died Tuesday, June 1, at Shell Rock Healthcare Center of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 22, 1916, in Tecumseh, Neb., daughter of Clem and Lydia Hager Fordyce. On Aug. 19, 1936, she married Dick William Huisman in Oklahoma City, Okla. He died July 19, 1975.

Mrs. Huisman received her G.E.D. in the early 1970s. She worked for many years in the cafeteria at Clarksville School System.

Survived by: a daughter, Linda (Lester) Peters of Plainfield; three sons, Bill (Linda) of Plainfield, Don (Ginny) and Gary (Carolyn Fenneman), both of Clarksville; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Edna Lehman of Columbia Heights, Minn.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, Frank, Arthur and Lawrence Fordyce; and a sister, Audrey Henze.

Celebration of Life Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel United Church of Christ, with burial in Antioch Cemetery, both in Clarksville.

Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, with family present.
