Mina D. Brown, 96, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away April 28, 2010, at the Dumont Wellness Center in Dumont, Iowa.

She was born December 27, 1913, in Butler County, Iowa, to Herman and Maggie (Olthoff) Groen. Mina attended country school in rural Butler County. She was united in marriage to Archie Brown on September 6, 1934, in Butler County, Iowa. Mina worked as a farm wife. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mina also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, horses and animals.

She is survived by her son Norman and wife Gene of Dumont, granddaughters Tammy (Eddie) Malate of Milpitas, California, Janet (Jack) Swanson of Arlington and Toni J.D. Brown of Waterloo, great grandchildren Garett, Kyla Jo, Haley and Drew Malate of Milpitas, California, Cole, Clay, Cade and Meg Swanson of Arlington and great great grandson Cru Wells of Milpitas, California.

Mina was preceded in death by her husband Archie, parents Herman & Maggie Groen, two sisters Grace Brocka & Alice Wilkinson and one brother William Groen.
