Aged Aredale Woman Died Last Sunday—Funeral Services Thursday At Dumont—Aredale, Iowa, August 8—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o’clock Thursday afternoon, at the Vogel funeral home, in Dumont, for Mrs. Mahala J. Gove, age eighty, who passed away Sunday afternoon, August 30th, following an illness of about two days. Old age and complications were the cause of death. Mrs. Gove passed away at the Christenson Nursing home, in Sheffield.

Mrs. Mahala Jane Gove was born September 30, 1867, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Allen, near Bridgeton, Indiana. In 1888, she was married to Leonard Gove, at Hampton. Most of her life was spent near Aredale on a farm.

Mrs. Gove is survived by one brother, John Allen, of Edenburg, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, four brothers, two sisters and her parents. Burial will be made in the Harlan cemetery
