After an illness of nearly a year Mrs. H. F. Wild passed peacefully to rest at her home in Allison on Monday evening, May 30th, at 9 0'clock. Miss Emma Wild, so many years a resident of Allison, was born in Cedar Falls May 4, 1859, and there was educated and grew to young womanhood.

She was married to Herman F. Wild Dec. 2, 1886, and immediately came to make her home in Allison. Three children came to gladden their home, the youngest, a son, dying in infancy. The daughters, Lillie and Carrie, are left to mourn a devoted mother's loss. All that the family and friends could do was done to allieviate Mrs. Wild's suffering, but the disease from which she suffered, being cancer, baffled all efforts of medical skill. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church Wednesday at 11 o'clock and interment was made at Cedar Falls.
