There is deep sorrow in the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Grace of Bennezette, death having entered their home on last Saturday morning, June 4th, 1904, and claimed their oldest son, Clarence Milton.

Clarence was born in Greene, Iowa, Oct., 1891. His sickness was short but very severe and ended with his death on Saturday morning at 7:00 o'clock, at the age of 12 years, 8 months and 4 days.

He was a very bright and interesting boy and gave great promise for one so young in years. He was always very kindly spokn of by those of slight acquaintance and loved by those who knew him.

The funeral was held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grace at 10:00 o'clock Monday, June 6th, conducted by the Rev. S. D. McFadden of the Presbyterian church of Greene. The Presbyterian choir was also present and gave several very appropriate and comforting selections. The funeral was attended by a large number of the friends and relatives of the family. Four of his little friends, Clarence Cutler, Charlie and Fred Simmerman and Clifford Waterson acted as pall bearers.

A large number followed him to his last resting place and assisted in layng him away in Rose Hill cemetery.

The sympathy of all goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Grace in this hour of sorrow and affliction.
