Louise Dorothy Wedeking 1896-1971

Louise Dorothy Wedeking, daughter of William and Louise Graue Klunder was born on February 25, 1896, in Schessinghausen, Germany. As an infant she was baptized in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Husum, Germany.

In 1899 she came with her family to the United States, where they made their home on a farm north of Bremer. Later they moved to the Pleasant Valley neighborhood in Butler County. She was confirmed in the Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church , of which she was a member until she moved to Clarksville.

May 20, 1915 she was united in marriage to Edmund Wedeking to this unon five children , three sons and two daughters, who were born. They made their home on farms in the Pleasant Valley neighborhood. Following her husband's death, Mrs. Wedeking move to Clarksville, where she lived until her health forced her to make her home with her children. She was a long member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ and was active in the Dorcas Sewing Circle of her church.

She is survived by her three sons; Herman of Nashua, Clarence of Clarksville, and Raymond of Plainfield: her daughter, Lily (Mrs. Albert Schrage) of Plainfield: 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also has two brothers, Henry Klunder of Plainfield and Albert Klunder of Clarksville and four sisters, Mrs. Henry Stoxen (Lena) of Clarksville, Mrs. Frank Ringleb (Edna) of Waverly, Mrs. Clarence Schmadeke (Hilda) of Clarksville, and Mrs. Harold Deike (Elsie) of Waverly.
