January 15, 1938 - July 5, 2016

Larry Anderson, age 78, of Alta, Iowa, formerly of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.

Larry Anderson, a son of Julia Anderson, was born on January 15, 1938, in Alta, Iowa. He attended school in Woodward, Iowa.

Larry worked for Orchid Cleaners, for the Storm Lake school system as a custodian, and for Cone Auctions. He, especially, enjoyed going out to eat his favorite meal, a good cheeseburger with plenty of onions and French fries. A faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, he lived at Welcov in Alta in recent years.

Those left to cherish his memory include his uncle, Ken (Joan) Anderson, of Cherokee, Iowa; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and a special friend, JoAn (Norm) Lund, of Storm Lake, Iowa. Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Julia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Scandinavian Cemetery in Alta. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
