Services for Lavenda M. Bjork, 74, of Des Moines, will be held Tuesday, February 7, 1995, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Church of the Open Bible. Burial will folow in the Fairfield Cemetery, Albert City. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. The Dahlstrom Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. She died on Saturday, February 4, 1995, in the Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Lavenda was born in Albert City [on March 5, 1920*]. She was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible.

Survivors include three daughters — Marci Wendlund, of Des Moines, Janet Rasmussen, of St. Charles, Minnesota, and Phyllis Burton, of Bethany, Missouri; a son — Vince Bjork, of St. Cloud, Minnesota.; eight grandchildren; and three sisters — Astrid Jafvert, of Albert City, and Elvira Werner and LaVerna Peterson, both of Des Moines.

Funeral services for Lavenda M. Bjork, 74, were held Tuesday, February 7, 1995, at the First Church of the Open Bible in Des Moines. There was a graveside service in Albert City and burial was in the Fairfield Cemetery, Albert City.

She was born in Albert City and lived in Des Moines for twenty-seven years. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her three daughters, Marci Wendlund, of Des Moines, Janet Rasmussen, of St. Charles, Minnesota, and Phyllis Burton, of Bethany, Missouri; a son, Vince Bjork, of St. Cloud, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Astrid Jafvert, of Albert City, and Elvira Werner and La Verna Peterson, both of Des Moines.

The Dahlstrom Funeral Home of Des Moines was in charge of the arrangements.
