Marjorie Jeanette Cook-Larsen
April 24, 1930 - May 11, 2014

Marjorie Jeanette Cook-Larsen, the last surviving and youngest daughter of her loving parents, Jennie and John Larsen, sister of twelve brothers and sisters, devoted wife of Keith Creed Cook, and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully into God's hands on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, 2014, at the age of 84 years.

Mom proudly served our country as both a United States Marine and Director of Personnel for the USDA. Her devotion to her work and country was matched only by her love for God, family, and friends.

Mom/MeMa is lovingly survived by her five children, eight grandchildren (ninth due October 14, 2014), and four great-grandchildren: Kirsten Logan, and her children, Zacharie Hennard and Justin Hennard and his wife, Virginia Rowland-Hennard, their sons, Sonny James and Rowland Sage; Monte and Vicki Cook and their children, Paul Cook, and his wife, Caroline Bellis-Cook; Lane Cook and his wife, Chekka Lash, and their daughter, Caretta Cook; Torri and Rob Morley, and their children, Cashmere and Nicholas Morley; Tony and Jen Cook, and their son, Sawyer Creed Cook; and Kyle and Cornellia Cook, and their daughter, Haley Gabrielle Cook.

She will be laid to rest in our family cemetery alongside her husband, Keith, in the town where she was born and raised, Newell, Iowa. Memorial services will be conducted by Pastor Ketcham of Storm Lake at the Newell Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, July 20, 2014. Her family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements with the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Newell.
