February 3, 1984 ~ July 10, 2019 (age 35)Alex M. Tellefsen, 35, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, died on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Alex Michael Tellefsen was born on February 3, 1984, in Lake Jackson, Texas, to Torleif “Tor” Tellefsen and Barbara (Galvin) Wadsley. He attended Storm Lake and Sioux Central Schools in Iowa but graduated from Two Harbors High School in Two Harbors, Minnesota, in 2002. He continued his education at Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minnesota, Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota, and Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge.
Alex lived life to the fullest and had a heart of gold, always willing to help others. He valued his family and treasured spending time with them, especially with his daughter. He loved to make others laugh and genuinely cared about the people in his life. In addition, he enjoyed many outdoor activities such as snowboarding, hiking, camping, fishing and playing a good round of golf. In his down time, he loved watching a good movie and listening to music. An accomplished chef, he loved to please people with his food.
Alex is survived by his daughter: Emma Ann Louise Tellefsen, of Duluth, Minnesota; his mother, Barbara Wadsley, and her husband, Robert, of Linn Grove, Iowa; his father, Tor Tellefsen, and his friend, Patty, of Fort Dodge, Iowa; his siblings: David and Kelly, of San Diego, California, Eric, of Staten Island, New York, Alexander Wadsley, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Michelle Tellefsen Troianiello, of Bushkill, Pennsylvania.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home, 923 1st Avenue South. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 PM followed by a time of sharing with Msgr. Kevin McCoy of Holy Trinity Parish. Memorials may be directed to the family.
