October 4, 1994 ~ May 30, 2018 (age 23)Jairo Andres Ocampo González, age 23, of Tomah, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in Tomah, Wisconsin.
Jairo was born on October 4, 1994, in Ameca, Jalisco, Mexico, to Arturo Ocampo and Rocio Gonzalez (Garcia) Flores. A year later, he was baptized at the Catholic Church in Ameca. In 2011, he was confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Rembrandt, Iowa. In 2012, he graduated from Sioux Central High School in Sioux Rapids, Iowa.
Jairo had a love and passion for soccer. Indeed, he, always, had a soccer ball between his feet. Moreover, of all the teams, he preferred to follow the Real Madrid team, and of all the players on that team, he idolized Christiano Ronaldo, #7. Undoubtedly, Jairo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Rocio González Flores, and his step-father, Roberto Flores Rodriguez, of Rembrandt, Iowa; his grandmother, Maria de la Luz Garcia Bojorge, of Tucson, Arizona; his brother, Roberto Carlos Flores González, also of Rembrandt, Iowa; and his sisters, Rocio Flores González, of Rembrandt, Iowa, and Ana (Kira) Strong-González, of Grimes, Iowa; as well as extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rembrandt, Iowa. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake, Iowa. Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, June 3, 2018, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., all at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids is in charge of the arrangements.
