Michael Wofford
June 8, 1964 - November 4, 2017Michael Wofford, age 53, of Alta, Iowa, died on November 4, 2017, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.
Michael Wofford, a son of Pink and Lillian Wofford, was born on June 8, 1964. He attended school and graduated from high school. On June 2, 2010, Michael married Erlihna Vandenheuvel in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Michael enjoyed outdoor activities, especially fishing. In his spare time, he loved socializing with friends and family. He loved his wife, Erlihna, his pride and joy, and he, also, loved his dogs: Becky Lee, Rambo, and Wosher. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Erlihna Vandenheuvel, of Alta, Iowa; his daughter, Michell, of Chicago; his parents, Pink and Lillian Wofford; his stepdaughter, Dominic Vandenheuvel, of Michigan; his step grandson, Bo Vandenheuvel, of Michigan; his siblings: Dorothy Daranijo; Pinky Gordon; and Irvin “Chuck,” Stanley, Aaron, and Cassie Wofford; as well as extended family members and many friends. Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Alene Wofford.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Alta. Visitation will follow the service until 4:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Alta. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Alta is in charge of the arrangements.
