Sharlotte E. (Hunter) (Warner) Watson
June 12, 1930 - September 24, 2017

Sharlotte E. (Hunter) (Warner) Watson, age 87, of Council Bluffs, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017.

Sharlotte was born on June 12, 1930, to Ernest and Katherine (Lorenzen) Hunter of Sac County. Raised in and around the Storm Lake area, she graduated from Newell High School in 1947. In 1949, she married Robert Warner. They resided in Oto where Bob was a teacher and coach. In 1955, they moved to Missouri Valley where they continued raising their four children. In 1969, Sharlotte graduated from Dana College and took a job as the elementary music teacher in Missouri Valley, Iowa, a position she held until she retired in 1993. After Bob died in 1981, Sharlotte married John Watson in 1983. John passed in 2001, and a few years later, Sharlotte moved to Fox Run Assisted Living in Council Bluffs. She resided there until her passing from complications of congestive heart failure.

Active in Harrison County Fine Arts, PEO, and the Missouri Valley Methodist Church, Sharlotte served as choir director and accompanied and sang at local weddings and funerals. She directed The Last Supper event at the Methodist Church and helped to start Watson Station by donating her late husband’s, John's, miniature steam train.

Sharlotte is survived by her four children: Deb Warner (Bob Steele), of Pearce, Arizona, Mark (Shari) Warner, of Missouri Valley, Dindi (Ed) Cleckner, of Prescott, Arizona, and Stewart Warner (Mila Reuth), of Council Bluffs; six grandchildren: Jennifer (Jerry) Parker, of Tucson, Arizona, Ryan Myler, of Norfolk, Virginia, Shane (Kathleen) Warner, of Cave Creek, Arizona, Ty Warner, of Missouri Valley, and Eldon and Cassandra Warner, of Council Bluffs; three great-grandchildren: Jackson and Avery Warner, of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Mya Warner, of Missouri Valley, and four sisters: Marilyn Myler, of Alta, Virginia Carlson, of Storm Lake, Georgia (Jerry) Jacobsen, of Moss Point, Mississippi, and Beverly Kistenmacher, of Carroll.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the Methodist Church in Missouri Valley. A luncheon will be served in the fellowship hall immediately following.
