Evangelina Amador Vargas Arreola
January 31, 1952 - July 11, 2017

Evangelina Amador Vargas Arreola, age 65, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on July 11, 2017, in Sioux City, Iowa.

A daughter of Ramon Amador and Otilia Vargas, Evangelina was born on January 31, 1952, in Mexico. Later, she married José Ezequiel Arreola in Michoacán, Mexico. Subsequently, they were blessed with three children: Juan, Maria, and Margarita. Eva was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake.

Eva loved spending time outdoors, gardening, or going for walks. She treasured her time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she liked cooking and reading. Moreover, she, thoroughly, enjoyed going on vacations back to Mexico. She will be, deeply, missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Juan (Deisy De La Paz) Arreola, Maria (Edgar González) Arreola, and Margarita (Cameren Williams) Arreola, all of Storm Lake, Iowa; her grandchildren: Ariana, Jayden, Kiana, Myriah, Amaris, and Jazlyn, also all of Storm Lake, Iowa; her brothers: Ezequiel, Gustavo, Ramon, Antonio, and Martin; and her sisters: Guadalupe Roano and Grisedla and Francisca Amador; as well as extended family members and friends. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, José; and her sister, Belen Amador.

A Funeral Mass will be offered Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place Friday, July 14, 2017, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is overseeing of the arrangements.
