October 10, 1977 - May 28, 2017Jessica Noll, age 39, of Sioux Rapids, Iowa, died on Sunday, May 28, 2017, in Savannah, Illinois.
Jessica Jo Phelps, a daughter of Franklin and Jolene (White) Phelps, was born in Spencer, Iowa, on October 10, 1977. Jess lived her youth in Sioux Rapids and received her education there. Then, she continued her education and graduated from Faust Cosmetology College.
On January 12, 1997, Jess married Garret Noll in Newell, Iowa. To this union, four children were born: Harli, Hayley, Brady, and Hannah. In 2005, the couple divorced. Except for a few years in Storm Lake, she spent most of her life in Sioux Rapids. For many years, she worked as a hairdresser and later in the security department of Tyson Foods in Storm Lake. For the past five years, however, she had been employed with Rembrandt Enterprises.
Jess loved life and enjoyed riding motorcycles, shopping, socializing with her family and friends, and staying connected to everyone she knew via her cell phone and Facebook. The “go to” person for doing hair and make-up for her family, she loved them very deeply and cherished the times she could spend with her children, granddaughters, mother, sister and friends.
Jess’ life and memory will always be loved and cherished by her family which includes her children: Harli (fiancé, Oscar Gracia), Hayley, Brady, and Hannah Noll, all of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; her granddaughters: Neveah (9), Naylah (7), and Nayelli (1); her mother, Jolene Phelps, of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; her sister, Lori (Mike) Strand, of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; and her nephew and nieces: Cody, Kayla, and Kimberlee Strand; as well as other extended family members and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Phelps.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Church in Sioux Rapids. Burial will follow at a later date in the Lone Tree Cemetery in Sioux Rapids. Visitation will take place Friday, June 2, 2017, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the First United Church in Sioux Rapids. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids is overseeing the arrangements.
