Storm Lake Pilot-Tribune - Mar 11, 1948 - Funeral services at the Methodist church for Henry Steinhilber, who died at his home in Truesdale. Interment was in the Storm lake cemetery.
Henry Steinhilber, youngest son of Gottlieb Steinhilber and Wilhelmina Haussler Steinhilber, was born May 27, 1868 near Strawberry Point, Iowa. He attended school and was confirmed in the St. Sebald Lutheran church.
He learned the tinner's trade under his brother the late S.F. Steinhilber of Pocahontas in Strawberry Point, which he followed for several years at Sandwich, Illinois and later became foreman of a shop in Chicago. In 1902 he went to Pocahontas where he assisted in the Steinhilber Brothers Implement business for one year. From 1903 until 1924 he was engaged in an Implement and garage business of his own in Truesdale and resided there until his death.
On September 12, 1906 he was united in marriage to Lillian Pearl Petit to which union were born two children: a daughter, Mrs Oma Godfrey, who preceded him in death on March 18, 1938 and a son, Robley C Steinhilber who resides in Pocahontas.
His health failed during the past few months and on March 5, 1948 at 8:20 p.m. he passed away at his Truesdale home.
Surviving are the widow, and the son and two granddaughters: Bernadine and LaVon Godfrey of Aurelia, other relatives and a host of friends.
