STORM LAKE REGISTER - Tue, Aug 5, 1941 - Funeral services for Mrs C.W. Stanton, 71, resident of Buena Vista county for nearly 50 years, are being held this Tuesday afternoon. Mrs Stanton passed away Saturday evening about 11 at the Swallum hospital where she had been a patient for about 3 weeks. Interment will be in the Storm Lake Cemetery.

Maggie Myrben, daughter of Ole and Turi Myrben was born Jan 7, 1870 near Oslo, Norway. When she was 7 years old, she emigrated to the US with her mother and stepfather. They settled in Freeborn county, MN. About a year later they moved to Worth county, Iowa. She came to Buena vista county about 1890.

On Jan 10, 1903, she was united in marriage to C Whitney Stanton at Storm Lake. To this union one son, Walter, was born.

When a small girl, Mrs Stanton was confirmed in the Lutheran church. She lived in Storm Lake all of her married life with the exception of a year in South Dakota, another in Montana and about 5 years in Canada, returning to Storm Lake in 1921.

Besides her husband and son, she leaves to mourn three brothers: Ole and Egen Myrben of Norway; and Andrew Myrben of Ashland, WI, who arrived in Storm Lake about week ago.
