Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - Feb 1, 1901 - Died at his home in this city of Bright's disease last Tuesday morning at 9, Adolph Gerhart Olson, aged 33 years, 6 months and 26 days. Deceased had been ill since the fore part of December and gradually grew worse until the end came. During the last week of his life he suffered intense agony but bore it uncomplainingly and patiently. As he was passing away he knew his loved ones and others as they clustered round him and bade them farewell as he was about to cross the fabled river.

Mr Olson was born at Hellein, Norway on the 3rd day of July 1867. Most of his life was spent in the place of his birth. Soon after coming to this country he went to Sioux City where he worked for the Pech Manufacturing Company about one year and two months. Since coming to Storm Lake he had followed the occupation of a plasterer and was a very successful one.

On the 14th day of Oct 1891 he was married to Miss Ida Fedemanson. Of this union two children were born, one a girl named Emelia aged 7 years and the other a boy aged 10 months.

The funeral was held at the Baptist church.

He leaves behind him to mourn his loss a loving wife; his mother and three brothers, who reside in Norway; John Olson, another brother who resides in Minnesota; and a sister Mrs Tolagson of this city. The remains were interred in the Storm Lake cemetery.
