NEUMAN, HARTMAN, HANSEN, COMSTOCK, RUNDELL

Storm Lake Register - Mar 24, 1927 - Harm Neuman was born at Ostersern Ostfreisland, Germany Sept 11, 1863 and passed away at the hospital at Storm Lake, Iowa March 19, 1927 at 5:30 p.m. after a long illness of complication of diseases. All that medical aid and loving hands could do was done for him and he went to his eternal rest fully believing in his Master at the age of 63 years, 7 months, and 8 days.

He came to America at the age of 14 years. On Jan 15, 1887 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Hartman at Onarga, IL. They resided on a farm near Ashkum, IL for 15 years, moving from there to Sulphur Springs, Iowa on what is known as the Comstock farm, living there the remainder of his life with the exception of 5 years spent at Arco, MN.

This union was blessed with 8 children: John, Julia, George, Mary, Grace, Aurine, Emma, and Leslie.

His two daughters, Julia and Grace, preceding him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife; three sons: John, George, and Leslie all of Sulphur Springs; and three daughters; Mrs Mary Hansen, wife of Carl P Hansen of Sulphur Springs; Mrs Aurine Comstock, wife of Geo Comstock of Ashkum, IL; and Mrs Emma Rundell, wife of Howard O Rundell of Chicago, IL; an aged sister living in Germany; and one living at Crescent City, IL.; also 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Sulphur Springs church Tuesday afternoon.

Relatives from a distance at the funeral were Mrs P Tighe and son, Leslie; and father, Chris Hartman, and brother Will and Mrs Eli Hartman of Heron Lake, MN; and Nick Hartman of Brewster, MN.
