Storm Lake Pilot-Tribune - Nov 4, 1948 - The on line newspaper page is cut off – Hauser a resident .. and Buena Vista .. than 73 years and .. highly esteemed .. passed .. Swallum hospital on .. Oct 26. She spent .. years in the home .. Mrs F.H. Kay.. was born in .. 1854 and died .. years, 6 months .. funeral services were.. Friday afternoon at .. Raemaker.

Interment was in the Storm Lake cemetery beside her husband, who preceded her in death 31 years ago.

She came to America at the age of 15 years and after her arrival in this country she made her home with an aunt until her marriage.

On June 17, 1875 she was united in marriage to Ewald Mauser of Elkhart Lake, WI and to this union 7 children were born.
Two sons and two daughters survive. They are: F Mauser, Richard E Mauser of Hayes township; Mrs F.H. (Nora) Kay of Rembrandt; and Mrs Edward (Della) Helming of Storm Lake.

Her husband and three daughters: Mrs Rose Sanderman, Mrs Alvina Schaefer, and Mrs Mathilda Zinn preceded her in death.

She also leaves 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother, a kind friend and neighbor and was loved by all who knew her.

After their marriage they came to Storm Lake which was then a pioneer town and pioneering for them started in earnest. They settled on a farm in Hayes township which now is the home of theirs son, Richard. At this time they with their community felt the need of spiritual aid and the Reformed church of Sac county was organized of which she was the last charter member. She was also the last surviving member of the original Junkermeier family.

The grandsons: Clifford Zinn, Raymond Schaefer, Harold kay, Edward Mauser, Robert Schaefer, and Donald Christy, were the bearers.
