Storm Lake Register - Jan 26, 1937 - Truesdale - Residents of Truesdale were shocked early Saturday afternoon when it was learned that Henry Oelrich had been found dead in bed at his home here. George Boettcher had gone to the home of Mr Oelrich shortly after dinner to take him some reading material and upon entering the house found him lying dead in bed.
Death from heart attack had occurred sometime during the night as apparently no fire had been made in the stove that morning, indicating that he had not been up after retiring the night before. Coroner Taylor was called as was also a doctor and later an undertaker from Albert City removed the body to that place.
Mr Oelrich who lived alone since the death of his wife several years ago, had told several close friends where they would find instructions regarding funeral arrangements and other matters in case of his death and these are being carried out as far as possible. Although the deceased had been up and around, it was known that he had been ailing for some time past.
Friday he made a trip to Storm Lake and was in Truesdale drug store about 9 o'clock that evening and on leaving complained of not feeling well.
Surviving him is a sister (Mrs Marie Gerken) who resides in Minnesota and other family connections in this community and at Webb.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon from Zion Lutheran church in Grant township and burial will be made in the church cemetery in Grant.
