Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - Aug 25, 1927 - Mrs S.E. Madson, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs George Snyder, was born May 20, 1894 at the old home south of Storm Lake.
On Dec 21, 1911 she was married to S.E. Madson. They lived near Truesdale for some time after which they moved to Winnebago, MN at which place she passed away Aug 17 at 3 p.m.
A fort night before her death she had been in this vicinity visiting with her parents and other relatives but she was taken suddenly ill a week before her death and was at once taken to a hospital at Winnebago, where she passed away. Her death came as a great shock to both relatives and friends as she had been ill but such a short time. Death was due to blood poisoning.
Five children were born to Mr and Mrs Madson: George the oldest preceding her in death; Ruby, Kenneth, Margaret, and Carrie are left to mourn together with her grief stricken husband; parents; one sister, Mrs George Wise of Storm Lake; and three brothers: Rollie and Ralph of Storm Lake; and Harry of Hancock, MN.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church at Winnebago, MN. The body was brought to Storm Lake Friday and funeral services were held at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs George Snyder. Burial was made in the Storm Lake cemetery.
