Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - July 11, 1940 - C.C. Lovesee, 82, passed away shortly after noon Monday at the Swallum hospital where he had been receiving medical aid and treatment the past several weeks.

Funeral services for Mr Lovesee were held Wednesday afternoon. Interment was in the Storm Lake Mausoleum.

Colin Campbell Lovesee was born in Roscoe, IL Aug 25, 1857, where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Ann Laura Wilder on March 25, 1884. Following their marriage, they lived one year on a farm near Roscoe.

They then came to Iowa, locating on a farm which they purchased north of Storm Lake. After living on this farm for 15 years, they sold it and purchased another farm home northeast of Storm Lake, They lived there until they moved to Storm Lake a number of years ago.

Four children were born to Mr and Mrs Lovesee, Harry, a veteran of the World war, who died in March 1934; Mrs Roy Brown, who passed away this spring; Dr Roscoe Lovesee of Sauk Center, MN; and Ralph Lovesee, who is in the Veterans Memorial hospital at Los Angeles.

Mrs Lovesee preceded her husband in death in June 1934.

Besides two sons, Mr Lovesee is survived by 5 grandchildren, children of Dr and Mrs Lovesee.
