Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - Sep 3, 1897 - Mrs Hiram Lemm died of apoplexy at her home in this city, Wednesday evening, Aug 30.

Martha Watt was born in Westmoreland County, PA July 9, 1848. Moved with her parents of Marshalltown in 1871. On June 19, 1881 she was married to Hiram Lemm and immediately afterward they moved to Sulphur Springs this county. They resided at Sulphur Springs and Newell 9 years, when they came to Storm Lake.

Her health had generally been good and she had attended the fair at Alta Thursday and came home apparently as well as usual. About 8 o'clock the next morning she was found to unconscious having sustained an attack of apoplexy and though everything possible was done for her, she remained unconscious until death.
