Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - January 6, 1898 - W.P. Jones died of lung trouble and old age at his home near this city last Wednesday, Jan 5.

Deceased was born in Wales Nov 12, 1825, came to this country in 1869 and to Storm Lake in 1871. He was a kind husband and father and a good citizen. He belonged to the Adventist church.

He leaves two sons: Hallock and Andrew W and three daughters: Mrs Cole of Missouri and Misses Ellen and Maude, all of whom are grown to maturity.

His wife died several years ago.

The funeral was held Thursday. Services conducted by Rev Hart, the Adventist evangelist, were held at the Christian tabernacle and the impressive funeral service of the Masonic order was conducted at the grave.
