The Laurens Sun - September 29, 1932 - Ella Theresa Sheen was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 18, 1860. There were seven children in the Sheen family, only one of whom is still living.

On the 28th of November, 1883, Miss Sheen was united in marriage to Erastus Huntley and soon afterward they went to Canada where they resided about three years and where their only child, Mary, now Mrs. E.S. Weart was born.

In 1886 the Huntley family returned from Canada to the United States and settled at Storm Lake, Iowa, where Mr. Huntley filled the position of city engineer. On account of defective hearing and failing health he and Mrs. Huntley made their home with their daughter, Mrs. E.S. Weart, since 1915.

On account of physical infirmities due to advancing age, Mrs Huntley was rarely seen outside the Weart home so that many in Laurens were scarcely aware of her presence in the community. For the past few weeks she had been in failing health but retired Thursday in as good health as usual. Consequently it was a great shock to her daughter and family when she was found dead in her bed Friday morning. Her spirit had taken its flight to God who gave it. She had reached the age of seventy-one years, eleven months, and five days.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her daughter, Mrs. E.S. Weart and family and a last surviving member of her immediate family, a brother, Morris E Sheen, of Lowell, MA.

While living at Storm Lake the Huntleys were attendants of the Presbyterian church, indicating their interest in God and religion. Mrs. Huntley was one of those kindly and sympathetic souls who found delight in ministering to her neighbors when they were sick. To her only daughter she was all that a loving mother could be.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter. Interment was made in a cemetery at Storm Lake, Iowa beside the body of her husband.
