November 25, 1910 - Storm Lake Buena Vista Vidette - Wanda Hobart was born in Lincoln township March 1897. This community was deeply grieved by the death of Wanda on the eve of Thursday Nov 17.
The dear little girl had been the object of much tender solitude for the last sorrow filled days and it was fondly hoped that a change for the better might be looked for. But after 6 weeks of pain and weariness, she sank sweetly to rest at 5 o'clock.
From the very first week of her sickness the intuition that she would not recover was fixed firmly in her mind. Without a fear for the future she calmly, although a child, resigned herself, soul and body, to the dear Lord.
Speaking to a friend one day she said, "I love everybody, no matter whether they love me or not." Dear little girl she had been her mothers faithful, loving helper for all the short years of her sunny life. Never once did she utter any desire to recover but with calmness and patience turned her eyes heavenward hearing in her inmost soul the call of God.
Father and mother with 6 sisters and one brother grieve deeply over this, the first break in the happy family circle. She has passed to be with Jesus pain free and happy.
