Storm Lake Register - March 7, 1950 - Mrs Sarah Josephine Hasbrook passed away Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs Mabel Shannon, 322 Geneseo. She was 94 years of age.

She came to Iowa in a covered wagon in 1865. She was married to L.P. Hasbrook at Grundy Center. To this union was born 5 children: Lulu Booth, Minneapolis, MN; Mrs J Kuhule, Sioux City; Robert L Hasbrook, Dallas, TX; and Mrs Mabel Shannon, Storm Lake, who survive her.

One son, Ben Hasbrook of Cedar Rapids, preceded his mother in death in 1915 and her loving husband also preceded her.

For the past 12 years she has made her home in Storm Lake with her daughter. Previous to that time she had resided at Grundy Center for 70 years,.

Services are being held this afternoon. Interment will be in the Storm Lake cemetery.
