Storm Lake Register - September 29, 1927 - Mrs G.W. Harper, a resident of Storm Lake for many years and one of the well known and beloved women of this community, died at her home 416 Geneseo street Tuesday of this week, following a short illness and news of her death was learned with deep regret by relatives and numerous friends.

Mrs Harper was ill about 10 days but her condition was not considered serious until a few days prior to her death.

Edith Willey Harper, the 7th of 10 children of English parents was born at Council Hill, IL July 16, 1859 and departed this life Sept 27th, 1927 at the age of 68 years, 2 months and 11 days.

She was married on June 6th, 1888 to Mr G.W. Harper at LeMars, IA and to them were born 3 children. They are Shirley Edith, deceased; Verlin W Harper of this city; and George Fahe Harper of Des Moines.

She is survived by her husband and her daughter and son, also by 2 sisters and one brother and other relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral services were held from the home on Geneseo street Thursday afternoon of this week. Interment was in the local cemetery.
