Storm Lake Register - March 4, 1941 - Funeral services for Mrs Annie C Hardyman, 88, resident of Storm Lake for more than 60 years and widely known thru out the community, were held Sunday afternoon. Mrs Hardyman passed peacefully away Friday morning about 3 o'clock at home 217 West Third street. During the greater part of her life she had been of rugged physical health and mental vigor, however on Aug 19, 1940 she suffered an attack of influenza and although better was not fully restored to her strength when death came.

Annie Catherine Frank, daughter of Michael and Kunningunda Frank, was born near Yellowstone, WI Dec 11, 1852. Here she grew to womanhood and in 1882 was united in marriage to Michael Hardyman. Shortly after their marriage they came to Iowa, locating on a farm near Newell.

They moved to Storm Lake in 1889 and Mrs Hardyman has living in or near Storm Lake since that time with the exception of one years residence at Manson. Mr Hardyman preceded her in death on Aug 23, 1919.

Five children were given Mr and Mrs Hardyman all of whom survive. They are as follows: Richard Hardyman of Storm Lake, Myrtle Hardyman of Des Moines, George Hardyman, Margaret Hardyman Nelson and Blanche Hardyman, all of Storm Lake. There is one grandchild, Thomas, now of Burlingame, CA.

Since Jan 4, 1931 she had been a member of the Lakeside Presbyterian church in Storm Lake.

She is the last one of her family, 3 brothers and one sister having preceded her in death. At the time of death, Mrs Hardyman was 88 years, 2 months and 17 days of age.
