Storm Lake Buena Vista Vidette - November 1, 1912 - Phoebe Jane Roger was born in Greene Co, NY Dec 31, 1844. She moved to Illinois in 1855 with her parents, settling in Winnebago county where she grew to womanhood.

She was married to A.M. Hallock Jan 25, 1874. They moved to Buena Vista county in 1884. She died at her home in Storm Lake Sunday, Oct 27.

Beside the bereaved husband, A.M. Hallock, a daughter, Mrs Ada Walling of Grant township, survives.

Two other children born to Mr and Mrs Hallock died in infancy.

One brother, Titus Roger, of Kansas also survives, who with his wife were present at the bedside of Mrs Hallock when she departed.

The funeral services were held by J.C. Harris at the Christian church Wednesday afternoon. Interment being made in the S.L. cemetery.
