Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - November 18, 1898 - I.S. Greenleaf, one of the early settlers of Hayes township, but who moved away some years ago, residing for several years in California, died of inflammation of the bowels, Wednesday morning, in Sioux City, aged 82 years.

His son, J.J. Greenleaf, with whom he lived during the past year and at whose home he died, accompanied the remains here Thursday for interment in the Storm Lake cemetery. A number of the former neighbors of the deceased attended the funeral thus showing their regard for him.
