Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - April 18, 1973 - Chrystal Gem Geisinger was born Sept. 16, 1892, at Sioux Rapids. In 1904 she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.V. Geisinger, to Storm Lake where she completed her education and attended Buena Vista college. After attending Buena Vista she went to Chicago where she studied and received a degree from the Conservatory of Music. For about 50 years she devoted her life to teaching piano to students from the Storm Lake and surrounding areas. For many years she served as organist for the Methodist church and served as accompanist for many community groups and programs.

She passed away quite suddenly and unexpectedly at her home Sunday, April 8, 1973, at the age of 80 years, six months and 22 days

Surviving are a sister, Mrs Charlotte Beasley of Kankakee, Illinois; two brothers, Glenn and Arlo of Storm Lake and many nieces and nephews

Her parents, a brother Lawrence, and a sister, Mrs Forrest Ansley preceded her in death

Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. April 11, in the Hughes-Nelson funeral home with Dr Harrison Dawes of the United Methodist church in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs Vincent Mullane, soloist, accompanied on the organ by Mrs John Pitstick. Attendants were Joe Wiggins, Arch Geisinger, Richard Geisinger, Harold Geisinger, Bruce Geisinger, and Russell Biggins. Interment was in the Storm Lake cemetery.
