September 20, 1938 - Storm Lake Register - Alta - Information reached here Monday of the death of Mrs. Lydia Dinger at the home of her daughter at Algona on Sunday night after a long illness.

Mrs. Dinger was one of the pioneer residents of this community, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Latch, who resided between Alta and Storm Lake since the early days of the county.

Her husband, George Dinger, operated a farm and after his death Mrs. Dinger conducted a cafe here, but for some years past she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Tennis Wilson.

She is survived by this daughter and one grandson and two granddaughters. One sister, Mrs. T.M. Lucas, died last winter at her home at Ayrshire.

The funeral will be held from the M.E. church, of which decedent was a member, on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and interment will be in the cemetery at Storm Lake, where Mr. Dinger is buried.
